THE LIES WE BELIEVE

 
We spend much of our time overwhelmed by life simply because we believe lies. We look at one dimension and think it is all the reality there is, but forget about the unseen world and its reality.
My spirit is overwhelmed (vs. 3
I'm trapped (vs. 3)
There is no escape (vs. 4)
No one cares for my soul (vs. 4)
 
Ever been there? But, when he opened his eyes to the greater reality through prayer, He realized this:
 
You are my refuge (vs. 5)
You are my portion in the land of the living (vs. 5)
The righteous surround me (vs. 7)
You will deal bountifully with me (vs. 7)
Which reality was true? History shows us that the spiritual reality was more accurate than the physical. The unseen more factual than the seen.
 
If we are to be overcomers, we must look at our circumstances with spiritual eyes and believe that what God says is true. This can only be seen if we are men of the Word and prayer, for it is only here that these spiritual realities are seen. This is the life of faith. This is the life of those who walk by the Spirit and not merely the flesh. This is victory.
