Human governments come and come. When God says it's time, He will return, and every human power will be "annihilated and destroyed forever. Then the people of God will be given the rule over heaven and earth under the dominion of our great King, and "all the dominions will serve and obey Him!"

For the followers of Christ, civil disobedience is similar but very different. The true Christian is committed to a higher God and his higher law. When a believer is asked to do something that is clearly contrary to Scripture, they have the right and responsibility to disobey human authority to be faithful to a higher God.

Every man or woman comes to some point where they are faced with the big choice: Will I follow God and do what He says—even if there is a personal cost—or will I compromise and tell people what they want to hear so I can be liked?
