Every created man or woman must make their choice. What will you do with God? Will you embrace or reject Him? Draw near or run away? Trust and serve Him or doubt God and serve yourself? This foundational choice determines everything.
PSALM 63
… is one of the most powerful expressions of faith ever uttered and penned. Spurgeon said that “Chrysostom tells us that among the early Christians it was the custom that no day should pass without the public singing of this psalm.”
It speaks of the dry and desolate land that we live in “where there is no water.” But the Psalmist, David, had found his all in God. “O God, You are my God!” There was to be no other for him, And the ensuing verses tell of what He did with His gracious and wonderful God.
Notice the verbs. Think deeply about each one. Is this what you are doing with your God?
· I shall SEEK YOU earnestly
· My soul THIRSTS for you
· I have SEEN You
· My lips will PRAISE You
· I will BLESS You
· I will LIFT UP MY HANDS in Your name
· My soul is SATISFIED
· My mouth offers PRAISES with joyful lips
· I REMEMBER You on my bed
· I MEDITATE on You in the night watches
· I SING for joy in the shadow of Your wings
· I CLING to You
· I REJOICE in God
If God is God, and He is your God, then all this and more will be the ways of your life forever. And your soul will be satisfied with each full day and night. The world will be see how one created by God should live, and your Father will be pleased and blessed that you have found your all in Him.

As you evaluate your faith, is it “God and?” God and others. God and the world’s ideas. God and my best thoughts thrown in. God and some money. God and a clear path. Or simply: God. Are you vainly clinging to the idea that you need more than Him?

Realize you are surrounded by Him. He is beneath you, beside you, above you. Where can you go from His care? What are stronger than His arms? More sufficient than His supply? What enemy is stronger or threat more powerful than He who sits eternally on the throne?
