Pay attention to holiness. Be intentional about all He has already said to you. Set aside deliberate time to fast, pray, and read and meditate on His Word. Be extremely careful about your obedience.
And then, cry out to Him for greater intimacy. For as clear as His conditions are for you to see Him, they are clearly promised! He desires to reveal Himself to you more than you are aware for He is a God of perfect love towards you.
God is going to accomplish His purposes and they are all good. There will be huge change in this world as this is accomplished, but the ultimate purposes will be accomplished.
And, in the midst of a changing world, He is present with us and powerful to take care of us.
Do you have what it takes? Do you worry about your inadequacy? Do you have an accurate assessment of your life? Have you found the secret of having confidence in any situation?
Many people are clueless about who they really are … perhaps most. One of the great secrets of the Apostle Paul’s success in life and ministry was his accurate understanding of himself, gained at the feet of Christ.
Everyone in this life deals with the aches and pains and diseases and weaknesses of their physical body. We pray for those we know who are in deep physical distress. We mourn those who are dying. We fear physical loss. It is seen by most as their greatest enemy. Death is the one thing we cannot escape.
But for the believer, our physical deterioration is a sign of better things to come.
When is a train free to run? When it's on the tracks or off the tracks? On the tracks, it can move at incredible speed with perfect freedom, doing exactly what it was created to do. Off the tracks, it's unable to run as designed.
We were designed, as C.S. Lewis said, to run on God. His path is the track that liberates us. That is why veering away from His will is so laborious and leads to incredible bondage.
OUR COUNSELORS
... determine so much of our lives. How many people have gotten in trouble because they accepted a foolish challenge from a supposed friend? Listened to counsel that was directly opposed to the will of God? Missed the mark on a dare?
If you are a true follower of Christ, you long for your life to count and make a difference for the kingdom of God. And, if your motivations have been rightly purified, you want God to be glorified, i.e., honored; seen; better known and worshiped.
But how can you accomplish that in this life?
