Generosity is always noticed by God. He prospers generous people. Period. This is not prosperity in a merely outlandish way for selfish purposes. But real prosperity in God's way. A person of great wealth or a man of humble means can both become the vehicles that God uses in giving. It is not about the amount of our giving, but where we place possessions in our hearts, the spirit in which we give, and the willingness to joyfully cooperate with God instantly and continually.

This might be accurate if it weren't for the fact that we were made in the image of God and being restored to that image by grace. The more we mature in Christ, the more we discover that God is 100% generous. In fact, He is the Author of generosity. He wants us to become as He is through relaxing our grip on the possessions He entrusts to us in this life.
