The greatest enemy of our spiritual life is fear because fear is the opposite of faith. A man or woman who lives with fear is bound up and unable to walk in the way God designed. Their concern becomes other people’s opinions or another day’s problems.
Fear binds us and confines us, rendering us powerless. Most tragically, it keeps us from simple, restful confidence in the sufficiency of God and is a weak testimony to a watching world.

God sees our problems as bread and faith comes by aligning our perspectives with His.

In scientific equations there are certain elements that cause certain reactions. If those elements are not present, you do not have what you intended. For instance, if you take hydrogen out the equation of H2O, you will not have water, one of the most essential combination of elements in the universe.

Of all the things Jesus could have addressed in the Sermon on the Mount, it's fascinating that He spends a good bit of time addressing worry. In fact, He commands us not to be worried: "Do not be worried about your life."
We are champion worriers. God knows that worry is so counterproductive. Not only is it useless, but it ties us up, destroys our faith, is a poor witness to those who are watching, and dishonors God. So, to help us He gives His true followers multiple reasons why worry is so useless.

Where do you go to find help? When you are overwhelmed, where do you turn? When your way is unclear, whose guidance do you seek? When your resources are depleted, where do you go to find more than yourself?
Some has never even considered these questions. They simply plow forward, relying on the best human abilities they can muster. But every man has limits. We are not all-powerful and our resources are small. We are certainly not all-knowing, so our vision is short-sighted.
