5 REASONS I’M VOTING FOR JESUS AS PRESIDENT

We are in the middle of one more dramatic presidential election. Every four years, we must decide between two very imperfect people to give leadership to our nation. It’s a privilege to be in a land where we can do this. But the drama, deception, and politcizing of these human elections is increasingly exhausting. And we don’t know what really goes on behind the scenes.

That’s why I’m voting for Jesus this November. For the believer, the choice is already made. We decided a long time ago to let Christ be the King of our lives, our families, and our nation. And, in truth, Christ is the King of heaven and earth already. But there are reasons I choose for Him to be my King.

WHY JESUS?

Some struggle with trusting the sovereignty of God, but one of the greatest kings in history (David) gives us five reasons we can trust God as King in Psalm 33:4-5.

1. HIS WORD IS ALWAYS UPRIGHT

For the word of the Lord is upright (Psalm 33:4)

No word, command, instruction, or explanation comes from God’s mouth (given to us through the Scripture) that is not right. Every strategy and plan He has for my life and our nation is upright. Nothing is devious. And it will lead to uprightness in our lives and nations if we follow Him.

There is no deceit, dishonesty, half-truths, or political promises. His word is sure and right … always.

2. HE IS ALWAYS FAITHFUL

All His work is done in faithfulness (Psalm 33:4)

There’s not a single promise that Christ has ever made (or will ever make) to us that He will not fulfill. If He says it, you can take it to the bank. And there are over 7,000 promises He makes to us recorded in the Bible! This process (God making promises, us trusting Him, and Him delivering) is God’s operating system with man, and He always holds true to His word.

3. HE LOVES RIGHTEOUSNESS

He loves righteousness (Psalm 33:5)

Many politicians love politics, love themselves, or love power. They are tainted by many imperfect motives.

But not my candidate. Jesus loves that which is right and is willing to give His life for His Father’s perfect, righteous will. When He was being crucified by godless men for their very salvation, He “entrusted His soul to a faithful Creator” and kept doing what was right (1 Peter 2:23). He IS righteous in all His ways, and He LOVES righteousness in every form.

4. HE LOVES JUSTICE

He loves … justice (Psalm 33:5)

Many people scream about justice currently, but what they really desire is their idea of what is just (and is often skewed.)

But Christ IS justice, loves justice, and will bring about justice perfectly and ultimately by His strong right hand. The Bible reminds us: “I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8). If you want justice, elect Jesus. Place Him on the throne of your heart and our nation.

5. HE IS FULL OF LOVINGKINDNESS

The earth is full of the lovingkindness of the Lord. (Psalm 33:5)

If you see kindness or genuine love anywhere in the world, it comes from one Source. Every good part of this fallen world is created and sustained by Him. Christ is the genesis of lovingkindness (one of the most oft-used words in the Bible to describe His character). He is not only loving, but He is perfectly kind.

I can trust a King like that. And it’s why I’m voting for Him this November. I urge you to join me.

(This ad is bought and paid for by the sacrificial blood of Christ—shed to purchase your forgiveness and salvation—and an empty tomb that proves His promises!)
