We spend large amounts of money on security. Internet security, home security, personal security … there’s rarely a limit to what we will pay to find safety and protection.
GOD’S SECURITY SYSTEM
Here’s how to activate the security that only God Himself can bring.
The waywardness of the naive will kill them, but he complacency of fools will destroy then. But he who listens to Me shall live securely and will be at ease from the dread of evil. (Proverbs 1:32-22)
Listening. If you long to know outward security and inward peace, deliberately listen to God daily and intently and then follow Him explicitly. He can “lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil” (Matthew 6:13). He will "lead us in all the right paths for His name's sake" (Psalms 23:3). He will "guide us until death" (Psalm 48:14). We will be "at ease from the dread of evil."
There is no safer place to be than in the center of His will and under His direct supervision and leadership. We can run from His covering hand, but we can also humbly place ourselves under His care. He never goes to sleep and is motivated by perfect love and omnipower.
Since everyone and everything is under His ultimate control, we can rest our situation with Him. This does not mean that we will not face difficulty, hardship, or even tragedy. But it does mean that nothing can go beyond the reach of His sovereignty. We can find Divine protection.
Set the security alarm of God by listening and obeying His voice. And then lay your head down and rest.

When our faith is sufficient to lead us to actually follow God’s plan, we will always see that it is “good, acceptable, and perfect.” These words, as always, are important.

God knows what He is about. Always include in your request the greatest prayer—the prayer of surrender. “Lord, Your will be done.” This is the prayer, when humbly prayed, that will always be answered and yield the most valuable result from the God who loves us best ... even if the answer is hard.

Every created man or woman must make their choice. What will you do with God? Will you embrace or reject Him? Draw near or run away? Trust and serve Him or doubt God and serve yourself? This foundational choice determines everything.
