The Apostle John was in exile on the Isle of Patmos when he was given a dramatic, detailed vision. He wrote it down under the inspiration of God, and it tells us what is coming in the end. It is the final book recorded in our Bibles.
But the book containing this revelation's details was sealed, and no man was worthy to open its seals.
No one, except one.
Why was Christ alone worthy to open these seals and why is He alone worthy of our complete worship?
And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth.” (Revelation 5:9-10)
No one died for all of mankind. No one else purchased our salvation for God with their blood. No one is gathering people into His redeemed family from “every tribe and tongue and people and nation.” No one could make all believers into a new kingdom of which He would be the Head and King. No one could equip us to reign in the new heaven and earth.
You might want to consider worshiping Him now. For our worship will be the eternal song of heaven. He—and He alone—is worthy.

Spending hours in solitude with God alone is foreign to us. We are not familiar with God. He is, for most, a distant entity, not an every day Father.

What is more important to you than anything else? Check your values, for they will drive you this year. And what value is it if a man gains the whole world but loses his soul?

Where does God want you to go this week? To whom does He want you to speak? Jesus knows, and if you cultivate the art of asking and listening, He will lead you.
