You must no longer get your orientation and perspective from this world. What a limited view! But listen and commune with heaven constantly through unceasing prayer, even as you live for a little while longer on this earth. In this way, you can show the world what a Spirit-oriented man—a man transformed by and connected to God—can experience.

In reality for those who have been born again from above and are now true believers in Christ, our real citizenship is now in heaven. We actually have a dual citizenship for we live in the kingdom of this world, but our real passport is now the kingdom of our God. We are aliens here, merely visiting the remaining years of our lives. He has chosen us for Himself and He has nothing to gain by abandoning us to a mundane life.

If we are feeling distant and disconnected from Christ and we long for revival in our hearts, our families, our churches, and our nation, it begins with an honest look at our own lives and a ruthless dealing with all that is displeasing Him and aborting His work. It is worth the time, and nothing will be restored to rightness and usefulness until we deal thoroughly with our sin.

Pay attention to holiness. Be intentional about all He has already said to you. Set aside deliberate time to fast, pray, and read and meditate on His Word. Be extremely careful about your obedience.
And then, cry out to Him for greater intimacy. For as clear as His conditions are for you to see Him, they are clearly promised! He desires to reveal Himself to you more than you are aware for He is a God of perfect love towards you.

Giving encouragement and healthy applause to one you are mentoring is one of the most life-changing things you will ever do. Everyone you know (including yourself) wonders if they have what it takes—if they’ll make it and succeed in what matters. For your children, those you’re are discipling, your mate, your co-worker to hear your confidence in them is huge.

God is going to accomplish His purposes and they are all good. There will be huge change in this world as this is accomplished, but the ultimate purposes will be accomplished.
And, in the midst of a changing world, He is present with us and powerful to take care of us.

All of us face some measure of suffering in this life. It could be a physical challenge, a hard ministry task, an overwhelming and perplexing difficulty, a persecution for our faith, a deep burden, or simply the rigors of living a life of determined godliness.
For some, this suffering is more intense. Paul was one of those who faced grave suffering in order to complete the task of the gospel that was entrusted to him. Yet, he was able to face it with courage and even joy. How?
